Abstract
I am Devin Basley. A senior Data Science major at Earlham College. I love hockey and analytics so I combined my passions for this project.
Equal talent and competitiveness in the game of hockey has lead to the difficulty in predicting which team wins a game. Knowing which factors helps wins games is becoming increasingly important for NHL teams to be successful in such a competitive league. As new analytical strategies and tools are utilized, predicting outcomes of hockey games is evolving. Newer data and information about hockey is becoming more available allowing for improved statistical models.
