About Me
Hello friends, my name is Stevie Bronsard, and I am a senior computer science major and mathematics minor. I work on campus as a math and CS tutor and I am part of the Systems Administrations applied group. I hope to get a Wilderness IT career with a focus on systems administration and support for field-based environmental organizations.
Introduction
The goal of this project was to compare the performance of two different YOLO model architectures, YOLOv8s and YOLO11s, when applied to real-time object tracking scenarios on a moving platform. We use a mobile robot powered with a Raspberry Pi and a camera on top as our moving platform. The robot is programmed to find and follow a toy car using YOLO. This work aims to improve real-time object tracking software for research purposes, like studying small animals with camouflaged robots
