{"id":227,"date":"2016-09-29T09:35:14","date_gmt":"2016-09-29T13:35:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/portfolios.cs.earlham.edu\/?p=227"},"modified":"2025-04-24T15:29:18","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T19:29:18","slug":"road-map","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/portfolios.cs.earlham.edu\/index.php\/2016\/09\/29\/road-map\/","title":{"rendered":"Road Map"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>First, the annotated bibliography, the\u00a0preliminary\u00a0version submitted two days ago:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/portfolios.cs.earlham.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/annotated-bibliography-human.pdf\">craig_annotated_bibliography<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Second, I want to outline my general plan here.\u00a0After a meeting with Charlie this week and carefully reading some of the more fundamental papers for the topic, I have greater clarity about the project.<\/p>\n<p>My general plan, subject to &#8211; potentially major &#8211; modification as the class assignments are posted, is as follows (each date is a deadline):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10-01: Read all papers and complete an annotated bibliography which can be melded into a survey paper<\/li>\n<li>10-04: Complete the survey paper (technically due 10-05)<\/li>\n<li>11-01: Produce outline of the paper and high-level software design<\/li>\n<li>12-01: Done with paper, poster content ready, have some software developed<\/li>\n<li>12-?: Poster and presentation with the others who will not be at Earlham next semester<\/li>\n<li>Regular presentations as they come due<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I graduate in December so my project is somewhat more limited in scope than those who will be here the full year, but I anticipate a complete paper and a decent initial version of a piece of software by the end.<\/p>\n<p>UPDATE: The annotated bibliography included here has been updated to correct a citation.
