This\nmight put them to danger if they are alone. One way that can help the elder\npeople is having a system that can monitor their actions, detect the falling\naction and other behaviors after falling down, classify the levels of severity\nand send an alert to their emergency contacts or the emergency room if the\nlevel is serious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>What\ntechnology will be used in your project?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Deep learning, pattern recognition, image processing<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>What\nsoftware and hardware will be needed for your project?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Python, PyTorch (or Keras)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I might also need a CCTV camera if I decide to build the actual\ndevice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>How\nare you planning to implement?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>First I will apply some image processing techniques to enhance the images\nand videos quality. If the dataset is small, I will use of image data\naugmentation techniques to produce more data. Then train the model that detect\nthe person falling in the photo frame using deep neural networks, then use the\npeople falling photos and videos to train a model that classify the level of\nseverity. When the index of severity passes a threshold, send out the alert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>How\nis your project different from others? What\u2019s new in your project?<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several projects that work on the similar problem. Most of them\nwork on detecting the falling action only. In this project, I hope to build a\nsystem that is more detail and can decide whether it is an emergency case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>What\u2019s\nthe difficulties of your project?
